Your shortcut to the perfect commuter neighbourhood

wheretomove.uk cross-references every train station in London and the South with Ofsted ratings and GCSE results for nearby secondary schools — then scores each location so you can find the best neighbourhoods at a glance.

🎯
What the hotspot circles mean
Every circle is a train station with qualifying secondary schools nearby. Green stations are exceptional (score 10+), gold are strong (5–9), blue are moderate (1–4). Bigger circle = higher score. Use the radius slider to control how far from the station a school can be.
🚆
Commute time & season ticket cost
Click any hotspot and the station card shows an estimated journey time to central London and the 2026 annual season ticket price — so you can instantly weigh up school quality against commute cost before you start browsing properties.
🏫
Deep school data
Each nearby school shows its Ofsted rating (Outstanding, Good, or sub-judgements under the new framework) and its GCSE Attainment 8 score — the official headline exam performance measure — compared to the national average of 46. Grammar schools are highlighted with a gold ★.
🏠
Browse properties in one click
Every station card has direct links to Rightmove and Zoopla, pre-searched for properties in that postcode area — so you can go straight from hotspot to house hunt without any extra searching.
🎛️
Filter to what matters to you
Use the radius slider to set how close a school needs to be. Toggle Outstanding-only to raise the bar. Use the score key toggles to show only grammar schools, or only exceptional hotspots — or reveal all schools of a given type across the whole map at once.
